I love to paint, I love to sketch, I love to draw, I love color, line, and form. I’m an art pen addict and a brush fanatic, and I’m happiest with one of them in my hands. I’ve been an artist all my life, and a professional facepainter for more than 16 years. I teach art classes for several organizations in my corner of the Carolinas, and I give private lessons as well. In addition to facepaints, which are a completely separate category, I work in acrylics, watercolor, and mixed media (fine art papers, cloth, inks, ahhhhh), and with a variety of art pens and pencils. I also make jewelry, and I’ve given lessons in beading. Calligraphy and lettering are another passion of mine (dovetailing nicely with that art pen addiction), and I’ve recently become fascinated with Zentangles and Zentangle-inspired art. I dabble in design and computer-based artwork (the undo button is an artist’s friend!), with a particular affection for Corel Painter and the Adobe Creative Suite. Last but not least, I’m a muralist, and I recently did some murals for a local dance studio.
